The Sustainable Development Goals are a universal call for action to eradicate poverty, protect our planet, improve the quality of life and improve the prospects for all people around the world. These 17 Goals were adopted by all UN member states in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which sets out a 15-year plan to achieve them.
A special role in achieving the stated goals is assigned to representatives of the younger generation, for whom the future is already today. Implementing the 17 UN SDGs requires young people who can inspire and motivate their peers to change for the better.
The round table "The Role of Youth in Achieving the 17 UN SDGs: Afghanistan – Egypt – Pakistan – Russia " is aimed at discussing the prospects for youth participation in the implementation of the UN SDGs and promoting young generations in the implementation of sustainable development mechanisms in their countries.
