The event will be organized within the framework of the project "Contemporary Area Studies" — a series of online seminars of the School of International Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of the HSE University.

Jedeka Choi obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Songkyungwan University, Faculty of Chinese Language and Literature, Master’s degree from KDI School of International Relations and PhD degree from Beijing University on the topic of Sino-South Korean relations. He is the Head of the Political Research Center at the Research Institute of China-South Korea Relations at Wonkwang University and the Head of International Relations Department at Wonkang University. He is a member of the North Economic Cooperation Committee of the President of the Republic of Korea, a member of the political subcommittee of the Special Committee for Peaceful Cooperation in North-East Asia of the Parliament of the Republic of Korea, a member of the North-Cholla Provincial Committee on Exchange and Cooperation between North and South Korea, a member of the Board of Directors of the Korea Association of International Relations Research, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Korea Association of Regional Studies and Research on International Cooperation.
